Theatre Classes
Theatre Foundations
(Bells 1 and 6) Theatre Foundations class is primarily designed for sixth graders. Students get an overview of the history of theatre and practice acting in different historical styles along the way. The class culminates in a student-directed showcase at the end of the semester. |
Oral Communications
(Theatre II) (Bells 2, 3, and 7) Students begin Oral Communications class by getting an overview of the audition process and working together to act in a one-act play. During the second semester, they engage in enrichment triads in order to study a specific genre of theatre and perform a scene from that genre at the Theatre II Showcase |
Theatre Production
(No Classes This Semester) During the course of Theatre Production class, students explore the technical elements of theatre through problem-based learning, design and provide technical necessities for Rising Tides Theatre Company productions, write their own plays, and act as dramaturgs to research and share information on the scenes from the Theatre II Showcase. |
